言歸正傳，這是一個不花錢的旅遊競技，二月二十二號從愛丁堡大學的old college 出發
，透過stick your thumb out，沿路求助，越過875km 到達法國巴黎。
到達巴黎之後，會有兩天非常享受的青年旅社假期。
全程只需花費二十五英鎊的參賽費用。

Sitting a mere 875 km to southeast of Edinburgh, Paris is a great destination for a weekend away from the winds of a cold Edinburgh February and the toils of second semester. The only thing better than a weekend in Paris is a weekend in Paris for free!
The ESCA Race2Paris is your chance to get to Paris for nothing and raise some money for your favourite charity. The concept is really simple- get yourself in a team of two, including at least one male, get some sponsors, make yourself a colourful banner and get ready for the strangest, hardest and most enjoyable few days of the year!
The race starts at the Old College Quad on Friday, 22nd February, and finishes at a hostel in Paris (the exact destination is still to be confirmed), where you will be able to catch up on some much needed sleep! All you have to do to get there is stick your thumb out, plead with motorists and travel companies, walk if you have to - just get to Paris before anyone else.
Registration is a mere £25, which includes two nights hostel stay in Paris, a goody bag with all the travelling essentials, a very stylish t-shirt and a ferry ticket across Le Manche should you need it. And, because we too are charitable sorts, if your team raises over £300 you will both get your registration fee back- what more could you ask for?
There are some great prizes up for grabs, including ones for the fastest time, most ingenious means of transport, best photo with an item from your goody bag and many more, plus you get to raise loads of lovely cash for the charity of your choice.
