Here are a few quick ideas about wardrobe for the upcoming
project. Obviously all the choices have to be appropriate for the
script and the production. The object of using the items I will
mention are to minimize the rustle sound of the talents clothing near
the Lav Mics that will be hidden and taped underneath. That said I
will outline some do's and some don'ts.

DO's: Cotton, Cotton, Cotton. Did I mention cotton? This the best
material as it has the least chance of creating rustling sound on its
own. Polo shirts are a great choice and can be used in most
environments. T-shirts can be a problem as they often are thin and
show the mic placement. Dress shirts can be a good option as long as
they are not starched. Heavy sweaters aren't ideal if the fabric won't
allow sound to pass through them. For women most low blouses are ok,
if they allow a mic to be placed on the skin usually around mid chest,
on the sternum. Clothing layers that rub against each other should be
avoided if possible. If the actors can bring a cotton undershirt along
(men and women) that can help with placement. Men with extremely hairy
chests are often asked to shave the hair, (I'm not kidding).

DON'T: Silks, nylon, and heavy wool garments can be a real problem.
They create a rubbing sound that can be heard across the room, let
alone on a Lav Mic a few inches away. Heavily starched shirts and
garments can also generate noise. Extremely thin material can show mic
cables unless the cable is taped to the seams. The tape that is used
is called Transpore Medical tape. It is designed for skin contact, but
some people with very sensitive skin may be uncomfortable. Jewelry
such as long pendant necklaces present obvious noise issues, as well
as lots of bangles on the wrist. The wireless mic transmitter will be
placed out of sight, either on the belt or bra strap of the actor.
Special belts are made to hold the transmitter if other options don't
work. It doesn't happen often, but occasionally a small hole needs to
be made to allow access for the microphone element, so don't wear
something that can't be repaired or replaced. If you are wearing a
tie, these are often cut open on the back side to allow entry, soft
fabric ties are best.

脖子上以及手腕上的珠寶首飾應避免過分的噪音。
無線麥克風發射器，會別在皮帶或肩帶上。
有時可能必須設計特殊的皮帶來裝載發射器。
有時候衣服可能會被要求，挖一些洞來放發射器，所以不要找不能弄壞的衣服。（編：真的假的？）
領結、領帶有時候，會在他們背後剪開，以便走麥克風線，軟一些的材質好一點。
