一個『聲音』在物理上、美感上與心理上的價值,不僅僅只能透過我們的日常經驗(聽覺經驗)來解釋,更可以單純地由聲音本身的音色、質地以及震動來感知。就像是電影導演或是視覺藝術家,可以透過自身對於視覺素材質地的廣泛涉獵,來增加其影像能力,我們一樣可以透過----練習對聲音質地的關注----,來增加我們使用聲音的能力。


沒記錯的話,這是在談到ACOUSMATIC SOUND時,提到的概念。換句話說,很多時候,聲音設計師會鍾情於聲音本身的質地,這個質地往往不需要日常經驗來輔助、解釋他為什麼會喜歡。
